Fundraising

To raise funds for maintaining the aerators, fish stocking, and establish a fund for AIS mitigation, PCLA raises funds through grants, annual dues, and our annual lake picnic and raffle. Scroll down this page to find our annual dues form.

PCLA ANNUAL PICNIC

Our Annual Picnic is the main fundraiser for PCLA. Held the third Saturday each July, the picnic is our annual lake get-together, with kids games, raffles, grill food and beverages.

We print out 1000 raffle tickets and sell at $10 each. The 1st place prize is $1000 or a special prize, 2nd place is $500 cash, and 3rd place is $250.

In 2025 the first place raffle prize was a private airplane ride

The raffle winner and a person of their choice will receive a special, customized sightseeing tour above the trees for a birds-eye view of any local lake, the homes of friends and family, or to see the fall colors in a spectacular way. The flight path and destination ideas will be decided between the raffle winner and the captain. Mike and Pari Schilz generously donated this one-hour flight for two as the headliner raffle prize. Thanks to them for this great fundraiser offering. What an opportunity!

How to get your Raffle tickets!

After years of mailing out raffle tickets to each PCLA member, in 2025 we made a significant change to door-to-door distribution. Board members walk neighborhoods during May and June to say hi and deliver raffle tickets. If we miss you, tickets are available:

  • At the Boat Landing from the CBCW inspector Fridays and Saturdays, starting in May.

  • Town of Townsend Board meetings, second Tuesday of each month.

  • Local businesses including Karla’s Kitchen, Mike’s Supermarket, and Pintsch’s Hardware.

  • At the Spring PCLA Member meeting.

  • Contact Michelle Zelle at (920) 210-3196 or Pari Schilz (651)-283-4523

  • At the PCLA Annual Picnic in July.

Thank you to all of the businesses and individuals whose donations make our Annual Picnics a success!
